About the Company
Yale alums Stephen Kahn and Chris Edgar began talking about their ideas for selling clothing for teens in 1993, and the first Delia's mail-order catalog was available the next year. What began in a basement in Brooklyn has since become a multi-million dollar corporation. In the late 90s, the company expanded to include online shopping and retail stores in numerous malls. Although the company has experimented with several expansions to its brand over the years, creating a separate catalog line for teen boys under the name Droog and hosting online communities such as gURL, today Delia's Inc. includes Alloy, another teen fashion line, and CCS, a skateboarding-themed retailer. Both of these sites also incorporate elements of an online community, while Delia's remains primarily a shopping outlet.

Online shoppers can browse four main categories at the company's site.
Apparel
Apparel is the centerpiece of the site, including products in the following categories:

Shoes and Accessories

The clearance section of the website offers selections from all of the products lines at discounted prices. It's a great way to pick up the styles you love at a fraction of the price. However, sizes and colors may be limited, and once an item is gone, it's gone, so you should act quickly when you find a great piece.
Catalog Shopping
Request a catalog online to browse great fashions anytime. Customers that receive the Deliah's catalog can view its pages online to make shopping even easier. The online version of the book also includes special interactive features, allowing you to circle items, bookmark pages, and add notes to your favorites. However, you can also place an order by phone, fax or mail.
Retail Stores
There are more than 90 retail shops spread across the U.S., with additional locations in the works. These juniors clothing stores sell the same general selection of products featured in the catalog and online shopping portal, although for sheer variety of colors, designs and sizes, they can never beat their mail-order cousins.
