Move over Hilary and Raven; Miley Cyrus has taken over! By now, you probably know that Miley is the star of the Hannah Montana show on ABC Family. She plays a young girl who leads a double life as an average high school student by day, and as pop star Hannah Montana on the weekends. The show deals with a lot of issues that many kids face in school and in life, and Miley's positive, if sometimes sassy, personality is infectious.

The show's incredible popularity has translated into Hannah Montana fever, so naturally there is an online fan club available for anyone who just can't get enough on television.

While many of Miley's fans really think of her as Hannah, the official fan club is actually called MileyWorld.

MileyWorld has a lot of features to keep you busy.

You can:

• Create your personal web page and blog
• Upload your own images
• Play online games and test your knowledge of Miley trivia
• Watch behind the scenes videos
• Participate in chat rooms and forums
• Exchange instant messages with other Miley/Hannah Montana fans
• Receive audio shout outs
• Read Miley's diary
• Have advanced access to ticket sales (This is subject to availability, and we'll talk more about this in just a moment.)

The site offers a lot of teasers, but unless you're willing to shell out $29.95 a year to join, you're left on the outside looking in. With your paid membership, you'll also receive a personalized membership card.

Parents will be relieved to know that this site has a lot of security features and is designed to be a safe environment for kids.

• Parents receive an introductory email and log in when membership is established that explains about the site.
• Parents have the ability to shut off any of the optional features the site offers, such as chats and image uploads.
• All chat sessions and member page content are recorded. This information can be used to ban a member if inappropriate content is found.
• None of the images posted by users are available for viewing until they have passed a filter for offensive content.

As mentioned previously, fan club members receive advance notice of concert dates and the opportunity to purchase tickets. However, this feature has landed the site in hot water. Miley/Hannah concert tickets are the hottest gig going right now, and they sell out almost immediately, much to the disappointment of a legion of fans.

Many fans and their parents believed that club membership guaranteed the availability of tickets for them to purchase, but sadly this isn't the case. The number of members wanting to buy seats if far greater than the number of tickets available. It appears that there just isn't enough of Miley to go around right now.

As a result, a class action lawsuit has been initiated against Smiley Miley Inc. and Interactive Media Marketing. The suit alleges that both entities were aware that the number of fans registered with the site far exceeded the number of tickets available, and that they did nothing to make members aware of the problem or to correct the issue. It appears to be a case of "too much of a good thing", and kids are caught in the middle. We'll just have to wait to see how things play out in court, but lawyers are asking for triple damages for each member who joins the suit.

The "Hannah Montana Fan Club" does offer Miley Cyrus' mailing address. So even if you aren't able to join the club, you can still write to her. They do caution not to expect a personal reply. After all, Miley is at the top of her game right now, and there just aren't enough hours in the day for her to answer every fan, even though we're sure she appreciates them.
