The most popular style of Mudd Jeans is hip-hugger jeans with a flare. This hip-hugger style first became popular in the 1960’s and came back again in the 1980’s. They got their name because they literally hug the hip. Instead of sitting on your waist, they rest on your hips. The style is popular because it is a tight fit around both the hips and thighs. They then flare towards the bottom. Hip-hugger pants are worn low, often below the belly button and exposing the midriff when a shorter shirt is worn. This style is perfect for showing off belly-button rings. When the wearer bends over, it is not uncommon to see their underwear. MUDD Jeans come in stretch denim, which gives comfort by allowing the pants to move and breathe.

In 1995, MUDD began with the purpose of bringing a fresh, hip line to the junior market. They were an immediate hit with their unique flare in a variety of washes and leg openings. The industry quickly recognized the new company as offering both trend-setting styles and quality products.

As for the website, there is a domain dispute going on regarding the use of the Mudd Jeans name and the people who now own the domain name. If you go to www.muddjeans.com, you won't find Mudd Jeans there. Sorry!
