You can see what sizes and colors are in stock immediately upon ordering. The actual store itself is a Mecca of clothing with a warehouse-like decor. Large quantities of each item are kept in stock, as well as several different styles and colors to suit every teen's needs.

Old Navy's clothing line includes:

  • Jeans
  • Pants
  • Cargos
  • Shorts and capris
  • Tees and polos
  • Hoodies
  • Camis and tanks
  • Shirts
  • Sweaters
  • Outerwear
  • Activewear
  • Dresses and skirts
  • Sleepwear and intimates
  • Swimwear

Don't Forget the Accessories

Whether it's winter gear or something for the beach, you can find it there, including:

  • Hats, gloves and scarves
  • Shoes and flip-flops
  • Socks and tights
  • Bags
  • Belts and sunglasses
  • Jewelry

Fashion for Your Dog

Yes, that's right. Old Navy Store even carries a line of items for your precious pooch. You will find:

  • Dog t-shirts, hoodies, polos, sweaters and rain jackets
  • Fashionable leashes
  • Squeaky toys such as balls and lobsters

Sized to Fit All Teens

This casual clothing store has something to fit pretty much everyone. For ladies, selected styles come in petite and tall, ranging in size from 1 to 26. Men's styles come in regular and tall, from small to XXXL for shirts and waist sizes 28-50 (inseams 30-36) for pants. Not all stores carry all sizes, but most can be found online. The store also carries a variety of infant and children's sizes, as well as maternity clothes.

What's Hot?

For the colder months, jeans (all styles), layered long-sleeved t-shirts and fleece pullovers are a hit amongst Generation Y. When it's warm outside, it's all about flip-flops, bathing suits, cargo shorts, tanks and t-shirts. Colors don't matter much as long as it fits and looks good.

Bargain Shopping

If you time it just right, you can really clean up during the seasonal clearance sales, during which selected items sell for up to 75 percent off original prices -- perfect for those budget-conscious teens. Online sales are a hit too with Bargains and Super Sales held every day.

Catchy Commercials

Remember the 1998 advertising jingle, Old Navy! Old Navy! Old Navy performance fleece? This holiday campaign had consumers singing for months. Or what about 1970s-era ads that spoofed The Brady Bunch, The Love Boat and The Dating Game? Again, it caught the consumer's attention because they were deliberately cheesy, but also colorful, tasteful and most importantly -- memorable. Most ad spots also featured Magic, the store's mascot.

Major television and music personalities have starred in Old Navy Store commercials. They include:

  • Lil' Kim
  • Morgan Fairchild
  • Joan Collins
  • Fran Drescher
  • Sherman Hemsley
  • Isabel Sanford
  • Contestants from the first season of American Idol

Teen Shopping Trends

In a report released by the Radio Advertising Bureau, Old Navy Store was the top retailer among 13-18-year-olds with affordable prices and trendy fashions listed as the main reasons they shop there.

According to Cotton Incorporated's Lifestyle Monitor, 79 percent of females 16-24 years old say they either like or love shopping for clothes. Fifty-two percent say they like being noticed for what they wear.

About Old Navy Store

Old Navy Store opened its doors in 1994, and today has close to 1,000 stores worldwide. It is one of several chain stores owned by Gap, Inc. The retailer's name was picked because their stores supposedly imitate the look and feel of a traditional military surplus outlet. Oldnavy.com launched operations in 2000.

Hi Jamie,

I've sent you an email, but here is the info that I wrote, in case you are unable to retrieve my message.

Since you are 13, there aren't any jobs available to you in stores, restaurants or most online businesses. Federal law prohibits hiring people under the age of 16 for any of these types of jobs. However, there is nothing to keep you from creating your own jobs. Check out local postings on bulletin boards in places such as your local library, bank and town hall. If you don't see anything there, create your own fliers and post them. Use your computer or the library or school's computer to create really eye-catching ones. Be sure to include your name and phone number so people can reach you with job offers.

Jobs you can do range from dog walking/pet sitting to mowing/raking lawns, house sitting, babysitting, house cleaning or anything else you can think of. Many people, especially adults, aren't computer savvy. Consider offering to set up computer systems for people and charge at least $10 per hour. (Believe it or not, people just don't know how to set up peripherals- like printers!). Adults also hate programming cell phones- so that is another service you could offer.
