Seven Jeans

From LoveToKnow Teens

In the fall of 2000, Seven Jeans stormed the fashion scene. The trendy design created a visual lifting of the rear, a trademark making them popular among teens and celebrities. Demand exploded, and they flew off the racks. Enthusiasts included Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Richie, Beyonce, and Cameron Diaz. Male stars strutting the denim classics included Brad Pitt, Will Smith and MTV’s Chase Johnson from Laguna Beach.

But what’s on the fashion horizon for this Spring/Summer season? Should you spend your hard-earned cash on Seven Jeans or not? Styles change as fast as celebrities replace spouses. Throw on top of that the fact that not everybody is shaped the same, and you have to stop and ask if Seven Jeans are right for you.

The Cut Right for You

Seven Jean’s cut typically isn’t roomy in the thighs, so if you have curves, consider a stretch boot cut, relaxed fit, or even another brand like Citizens or True Religion’s 5-pocket skinny cut jeans. The touch of spandex makes for a perfect fit and still allows easy locomotion.

The only way to find out what works for you is to slip into that dressing room and try on jeans. Comparison shop. Be willing to try on other brands. Don’t buy jeans just because of a label name. Instead take a hard look in the fitting room mirror. Buy the jeans that fit you best. Be honest. Not all cuts and brands fit every body type. Only buy Seven Jeans if they fit.

Finding the Right Fit

How do high-rise jeans typically fit you in the waist? Tight, okay or gape because the cut of the waist is too big? When you stand facing the mirror, do you see a clearly defined waist? Undefined? Or somewhere in the middle? Then turn around. What about your butt? Is it flat? Average or full? One thing everyone can do is check for pocket placement. Pockets set too high make your rear look longer and bigger, and nobody wants that.

All this talk about body shapes and we haven’t even discussed thighs! Before you part with your money, be sure to stand in front of the mirror and be honest. Is Seven Jean sizing for you? Different body shapes require different cuts. If you have a straighter, less defined figure, you’ll want jeans to give your butt a perky uplifted look. But if your curves give you a prominent rear, you’ll be looking for something to make it look a bit smaller and possibly a cut to hide saddlebags. Also make note to buy pre-washed jeans that won’t shrink.

If you’re looking for a magic formula to find the right fit? This is it. Try on more than one style. Walk around a little. Do they feel comfortable or does the fit make you yank or tug because they bind or slip? If you engage the yank and tug maneuver in the store, you’ll be doing it when you hang out with your friends. And they’ll notice. Don’t let poorly fitting jeans be the source of gossip among rival cliques. Instead, try on a few styles. Seven Jeans offers styles that stretch including a relaxed cut.

Seven Jeans Hot Or Not

Back to the real question. Are Seven designer jeans still the thing to buy? Do you buy clothes just to be popular? The classic designer brand offers what teens look for: low rise, zippers, vintage washes, slim cuts, dark denim and more. But murmurs about Seven Jeans being overrated and a thing of the past are on the rise. What do hip hop clothing gurus predict you’ll be wearing this spring?

Brands like the increasingly popular True Religion Jeans threaten Seven’s slice of the market. Is this a new trend? True Religion jeans are establishing themselves in the high end denim market, but it won’t be a trend until the public (that’s you) dictates it with their spending.

Seven for All Mankind plans to expand their fashion products. Seven plans to introduce tops, knitwear and jackets for that practical layered but sexy look to wear with their luxury jeans.

In Conclusion

You as the consumer have the power to buy or not to buy. If you have hard to fit curves, or a hard time finding a good fit because you’re thin with bigger hips, or thin with an undefined waist, you’ll be shopping for jeans. Seven Jeans offer a variety of fits and top quality. Your part is to try them on. Sit down in the dressing room. Walk around. And of course, ask what your friends think. Are Seven Jeans falling in popularity? No matter. Be true to yourself. Buy jeans you like because they fit.
