Hi Brad, No one wants to have their child tell them that they are homosexual. All we can think is, "no grandchildren, what about diseases, what did I do wrong?" One of my dear friends told his parents this and his father beat him up and threw him out of the house. I think you are handling this much better by trying to find information on this subject! These following resources may help you find the answers to your questions:

Above all, be supportive of your child. He trusted you with a secret that was probably very hard for him to come forward with. In some cases, people are just going through a phase of sexual exploration. Either way, hang in there and your son will continue to confide in you.

My 15 year old son thinks he might be homosexual! I tried explaining to him about the chemical and hormonal changes going on in his brain. However, it doesn't seem to be sinking in. Do you have any advice or articles on this subject?

Hi Jack, It is not a good idea to pursue this relationship. Being friends is fine, but you are too old for this girl. It is important that you make friends and form romantic relationships with people closer to your age. It sounds like you may be avoiding doing this by convincing yourself that you have a romantic relationship with someone who is too young to date you.

This girl's parents would be very upset if they got wind of this; my advice is to avoid taking this any further. If you did act on your impulses you could wind up in jail.

Hi Jonathan, I've never heard that having good abs slows down your growth, but then again I'm not a doctor. If you already have a well developed abdomen, and you haven't done it by taking growth hormones a.k.a. steroids, there isn't much you can do to change it unless you start eating a ton of junk food (and who wants to do that?!). Steroids on the other hand (and I really hope you're not doing this!) can cause developmental problems, so avoid them at all costs.

As for your other question, I'm not sure what you wrote since certain words are automatically deleted on this website. I'm guessing you were wondering if having sex was normal? If so, the answer is obviously yes. If your friend is considering doing this, please remind him or her to use some form of birth control if they do it. No one wants an unplanned pregnancy in high school!

Is it okay to have six packs when you're 14? My doctors says that getting abs may slow your growth spurt...

Hi Hassan, Everyone's sexual organs are unique; there is no guidelines for the perfect penis or testes. There is no way to know if your penis will grow bigger, or how large your testes will be. You are still young though, and you will probably continue to grow for the next several years. If you are stressing about how fast you are growing, please speak with your family physician. It is confidential and they can answer all of your questions about your growing body.

Hi, my name is Hassan. I'm 16 years old. My penis is 5.5" long and almost 2 inches thick. Is it normal for me presently. Will it grow more bcause I'm getting worried. More over, does the size of testes really matter. If so what should the normal size should be?

Hi Seth, Most boys continue to grow and mature until they are around 21 years of age. You have plenty of time to still grow. While I can't say for sure what will happen, odds are in your favor that you will still continue to grow.

My penis is 5 1/2 inches long. Will it grow any more? I'm 13.

Hi Bert, I know you hate to hear this, but everyone matures at their own rate. Your peers may be maturing faster than you are, but you'll eventually catch up. You may not be fully mature sexually until you are 18 or 19, though some people can grow until they are around 21 years of age. I'm guessing your voice will stop squeaking soon- every guy has to go through this! Masturbation doesn't affect how fast you'll mature, nor does your race. If you are really worried about how fast you are maturing, talk with your doctor. I'm sure he or she would be glad to answer any questions you have and lay your fears to rest. Hang in there- the maturing process won't last forever!

Hi, I'm currently 14 years old. Explorative in sex and masturbation. By the way, I'm a Filipino (Asian). I'm 5 feet and 2 inches tall. My penis is about 5 inches long. I already ejaculate. However, I don't have much pubic hair. It's only at the base of my genitals. My voice is also not that deep, but squeaks sometimes. My nipples also are hidden. I don't have any other hair on my body. When will these incomplete changes happen? Does masturbation and race affect this delay?

Hi MD,

As I'm sure you've been told by others, everyone is different when it comes to their sexual organs. As to whether you are still growing, everyone continues to grow, though at a much slower rate, after they have reached puberty. As to your question about size, 6.5 inches is the average and considered normal for an adult male.

Is my penis still growing at the age of 17 1/2? It's about 6.5 inches long.
