I am having my 13th b-day in October. I am having a semi-sweet 16. My mom & I are going to sew my dress. It is going to be a strapless white and black polka dots with a turquoise waist band.

I had a mossy oak prom dress last year..I loved it. It was mossy oak silk. I got it at snydercreek.com. They have all the patterns of mossy oak..like duckblind, shadowgrass mossy oak breakup and new breakup and I think they have blaze orange too..mine was strapless and laced up the back in orange, just like the one on the website.

Camo material can be found in many fabric stores in a variety of colors- green, blue, pink and occasionally violet. Mossy Oak doesn't sell their material by the yard. If you want only Mossy Oak, you'll have to buy the jackets and then cut them up to make a dress.

I want a Mossy Oak dress, it's so me and if I can't find it, then I am not going to prom. I need to find some fabric. Ya know what I mean girls out there?

Hi Priscilla, Hopefully you aren't waiting until the last minute to make your prom dress. It usually takes a month or two at the very least to make a beautiful gown. If you are looking for assistance in making your own dress and designing it as well, speak with someone at your school in the home economics department. Most teachers in this area have some experience in design from college courses.

Hi Tahirah, It is hard to guess what you look like and which colors would look best on you. Each color has so many hues; it may be best if you went to a prom wear shop and just start trying on dresses to see which dress best highlights your skin tone and eyes. You may think a certain color won't look good on you until you try it on. For example, a particular shade of red may look great on you- like a velvet red or rose red. You could also try finding complimentary colors to match his uniform (blue or gold perhaps?) Just about anything looks great with a guy in a uniform- I'm sure the two of you, no matter which dress you choose, will make a great looking couple!

Hello, my boy friend is a Marine and they wear dress blues and I wanted him to wear his military uniform to the prom, but I need an opinion about what color my dress should be. I am medium brown and I don't think that red would be nice on me.
