Thank you for your opinions. Ghetto proms have been a theme in many locations as well as in pop culture. LTK covers all aspects of what is going on in a teens life, and is not passing judgment, merely reporting a trend.

I don't think this is racist. This is just straight ignorance. The ... that decided to put this up should shot in the foot. I mean really a "ghetto prom" just sounds like another idea to insult the african-american community by hiding behind the idea their promoting another innocent prom theme. This article should be deleted.

Hi Ms. Anonymous at hotmail.com. Being racist means that you believe that one race is superior over another or you express actions of hatred and bigotry towards another person because of their race. There is nothing racist about a so-called ghetto prom; if anything, it is one group of teens embracing the culture of another.
