Hi Chynya and Zach, Sounds like the two of you need to get creative or make sure you've checked "everywhere." Look in the help wanted section of your newspapers, everyday, especially on the weekends. Next, check for applications at all of your favorite stores (even ask if there isn't a help wanted sign outside). Ask friends and family members if they know of any jobs. If all else fails, start your own business! Read List of Cool Jobs for dozens of ideas on jobs that you can do right now.

Hi Evelyn, No employer will hire you illegally (unless they want to be in trouble with the federal government) no matter how good of an impression you make. Hi Chalesa,

If you're lucky enough to be at least 16 and live in a large city, you can start applying for jobs in retail and restaurant work. Check your local papers for jobs, and don't forget to look at your library, post office or church bulletin boards for people looking for house cleaners, babysitters and people who can do yard work. Don't forget to ask your parents too- sometimes they know other parents who need teens to do babysitting, yardwork and dog walking jobs.
