Hi Alexus, It sounds like you have some skills that you could put to good use. Teaching computer skills, working with children, writing... all of these things could lead to a job. Consider working in an after school program (YMCA/YWCA) or a preschool or babysitting. There are lots of contests to win money for writing poetry on the Internet (just Google for them). I'm sure you'll think of something to make some bucks!
-- Contributed by: Charlotte GerberI love to write poems and sing, but I'm not very good at it. I love to make kids laugh and play with them. I love to be on the computer, but now I realize I need a job and just get myspace off my mind. I've been searching for a job for a long time and I saw this website. I just had to go to it. Thank you for listening to what I had to say.
-- Contributed by: alexusHi Emma, You'll have to search for jobs locally - I can't you a job from where I live. Check your local newspaper's help wanted ads or post fliers advertising your services.

-- Contributed by: curtisha pattersonHi Sybrina, I'm guessing that you are looking to start a job after you turn 16? Just tell the employers that you'll be 16 when you start; you're going to have to give them your birthdate anyway. That shouldn't be a problem for employers looking for summer help.
-- Contributed by: Charlotte GerberI am looking for a job and I am turning 16 in a few months. I don't know if employers will hire me right now.
-- Contributed by: SybrinaHi Tammy, If your daughter is under 15-16 (depending on what your state laws are), she can't work at any paid positions unless you are with her the entire time she is at work. If she is old enough to work at a job, she can try volunteering at the zoo, SPCA, local vets office or any other place you may have locally (such as horse stables). Most of the places I mention always need dog walkers, people to handle animals that are up for adoption, or help with preparing food for the animals on a daily basis. Here's a link your daughter may find interesting- about the 10-year old veterinary assistant! KOMO TV Seattle
