Hi Paulina, What do you do if someone is giving you a hard time on the phone- like someone harassing you? I hope you hang up and don't pick it up again. The same is true of dumb stuff happening in chat rooms. There is nothing making you stay in a chat room when things start getting weird. People tend to say things they would never have the guts to say to someone in person when they are in chat rooms. Bullies lurk everywhere. One way to cut them down to size is to simply ignore them.

My question is that what do you do if there are any fights while you are chatting on the chat rooms and what do you do on there if there is and isn't it like writing notes back and forth to each other

It is not rude to pop in and out of chat rooms. Introverts sometimes want to see if the room is friendly before saying something. There is nothing wrong with popping in and out of chat rooms until you find one that is safe and friendly.

There are plenty of teen chat sites up and running on the Internet. All you need to do is go to Yahoo, Google or any other search engine and type in free Teen Chat site.

What teens need to know is that using a chat site is always risky. You do not know for sure who the person is that you are speaking with. People can upload any photo that they want, whether it is of them or someone else, and they can lie to you just as easily. Avoid going into private chatrooms with people you don't really know. Limit your discussions to non-personal information and always end a chat if the other person is threatening you, asking for personal info like your phone number and address, or what school you attend. Always assume that unknown people chatting with you can be creeps in real life.

As for shutting down Yahoo Teen Chat, LoveToKnow had nothing to do with it. We wish every teen had a safe place to chat with their friends without fear of predators spoiling it for them!

but won't Yahoo's shutting down the Teen chat site make Teens go somwhere else to get tricked by predatars, if girls want to they wil chat with these people, and you're shutting it off to alot of innocent people who just want someone to chat with like me.
